Teacher Training Programs

Our Yoga Alliance accredited teacher trainings aim to provide comprehensive instruction in all aspects of teaching yoga—from understanding the philosophy that is the foundation of this ancient practice, to in-depth anatomy and biomechanics, to how to stay inspired as a teacher.

The 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training will build on the knowledge of our 200 hour foundational course in 6 immersions with Master Teachers from each area of focus. Each immersion is based on a particular aspect of practice according to the Koshas

(Those of you who completed our 200 Hour training will remember the koshas):

Understanding the Physical Body
(Annamaya Kosha)
100 Hours Required in 2 of 3 Immersions

In this advanced training, we are offering 3 immersions focused on understanding the physical body and the role that asana plays in helping us tap into our human potential and for the purpose of healing.

Immersion #1 (required by all): Embodied Anatomy and the Art of Touch (70 Hours) will be led by New York based instructor,
Cat McCarthy, and is required by all seeking the advanced certification. In this week-long immersion, we will take an in-depth look at the Anatomy and Physiology of the human body as it relates to teaching yoga, deepen our understanding of optimal alignment, and practice using verbal and manual cues to assist students in finding freedom in an asana.

Immersion 2 and 3

Advanced Asana and Intentional Sequencing (30 Hours) with Scotta Brady. In this 3 day weekend, Scotta will prepare participants to skillfully sequence classes for advanced poses such as deep forward bends, backbends, arm balances, and inversions as well as assist students in the safe exploration of the asanas.

Teaching Yoga for the Individual (30 Hours) For participants who would like a more therapeutic approach to their teaching, this 3 day weekend will prepare participants to work with students in a private class setting as well as effectively adapt group classes for specific conditions in a way that makes their yoga practice both accessible and profoundly healing.

Because our program is 220 hours, you are able to miss one full weekend or 20 hours total class time
without having to complete make-up work.

Classes fill up quickly so we recommend registering by the Early Bird deadline if you are interested in joining us.
