9.11.10 -- Let Your Heart Soar

Take your yoga practice to the next level with an intermediate workshop with Mary Solomon. Saturday, Sept. 11th; 2-4:30 pm. $30 members/ $35 non-members.



10.8.10 -- Healthy Living through Yoga and Ayurveda

Yoga and Ayurveda provide the instruction manual for healthy, joyful living. In two weekends you will begin to understand your own nature through Ayurveda and learn how to make diet and lifestyle changes that support optimum health and well-being. The workshop includes an Introduction to Ayurveda, a Yoga Asana class for the Doshas (followed by brunch), one 1/2 hour personal yoga therapy assessment, and a class on how to incorporate these tools in your daily routine. $110 members and $120 non-members. SCHEDULE: Friday, Oct. 8th, 6:30-8 pm "Intro to Ayurveda"; Saturday, Oct. 9th, 9-12 noon "Yoga for the Doshas and brunch"; and Friday, Oct. 15th, 6:30-8 pm "Bring it Home." All sessions will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Oxford at 34 CR 198. 10.23.10 -- Full Moon Kirtan Celebration and Potluck

Kirtan is the practice of Bhakti yoga--the yoga of love. We will open our hearts by chanting traditional Sanskrit chants led by Stevi Self and Jeff Henson. No Sanskrit/musical/chanting experience necessary. Just bring yourself with an open heart, an open mind, and a vegetarian treat to share. Free to all. Saturday, October 23rd; 6-8 pm.



11.21.10 -- Yoga and Meditation for Stress

Meditation has been clinically proven to calm the mind and reduce the harmful effects of stress. In this workshop we will discuss some different types of meditation, how to sit comfortably, and the practice of meditation and living mindfully. Sunday, November 21st; 1-2:45 pm. $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
